Fans meet Tom & the 10th Anniversary of the ST LAWRENCE CARP TOURNAMENT

My lovely friend Mimi  managed to spend a little time with our lovely Tom  as he met fans at the  Chicago Comic Con  last weekend. She was lucky enough to meet up with Feltbeat Girls and there was a lot of  fun.

Tom I believe is now accustomed to the antics his friend and Feltbeats and joins in with the fun but he is always Game for a Laugh.  Lucky girls.

He was presented with a gift of posters of all his  films from Ashley one of the friends of Feltbeats and thanked her on a video but also surprised her with a phonecall and left her a voicemail but then that is Tom for you showing how appreciative he is of the gifts given to him.


Nice one Tom and Feltbeats for making one fan very happy.

Both families attended the St. Lawrence Jr Carp Tournament . It is actually taking place this week and is celebrating its 10th Anniversary .  There is a site Adventures By Daddy  who have published an article  by Dave Parfitt looks back at past Tournaments  which Tom attended along with brother Chris to help young anglers in the art of angling.

Draco Malfoy Engorges a Fish! 10th Annual Jr. Carp Fishing Tournament

Engorgio!  Exclaimed Draco Malfoy, and the carp he pulled from the deep grew, and grew, and grew thus enabling the wizard to win this particular challenge of the wizard fishing tournament.  OK, that’s a bit of a fish tale, but it is true that the actor that played Draco Malfoy in every Harry Potter film, Tom Felton, did launch a carp fishing tournament in Ogdensburg, NY.  He served as Grand Marshal for the first tournament 10 years ago, and has come back many years since.  Continue reading for more details on the 10th Annual St. Lawrence International Junior Carp Tournament, August 18-20, 2012 in the St. Lawrence River, and who knows, maybe you will even see a famous wizard in attendance

The St. Lawrence International Junior Carp Tournament began in 2002, after Tom Felton and his brother Chris visited the St. Lawrence River for a carp fishing holiday.  He pointed out to the County Chamber that there were no carp fishing tournaments for young people, and so the Chamber established the event.

For the first time since 2004, the Tournament will offer a $10,000 prize to the young angler whose top four fish total the highest weight of 100 pounds or more.  Assuming that those winning fish would also qualify the boy or girl for the Tournament Champion prize (for the greatest weight of up to four carp) of $1,500 and a division win for $800, the prize money won could total $12,300 or more.  This year’s single big fish prize has not yet been announced.  Last summer the biggest carp caught and released was a 40-pound, eight-ounce behemoth.

The three-day tournament, the largest of its kind in the United States, takes place Thursday through Saturday, August 16 – 18, along a 30-mile stretch of the river from Ogdensburg, NY to Massena, NY.  The event kicks off with the Mort Backus & Sons Fishing School and opening ceremonies that Thursday and concludes with an awards ceremony that Saturday night.

Twitters has missed our lovely Tom Felton who has been taking a well deserved break before his forthcoming trip to Chicago Comic Con  this weekend. He will be signing  autographs 

Saturday and Sunday  

As usual The event will be covered by Tom's Official Fansites Feltbeats.Com & 

Tomfeltoneu. Both will no doubt provide us full coverage of the event. 

Unfortunately due to events last year our site was lost and  we are no longer

Release Dates for The Apparition and Therese Raquin

The Appariton is set to be released in the USA  24th August 2012 and Tom is attending Chicago Comic Con this weekend to promote it
The film is set to be released in Germany  13th December2012 with the possibility of a  premiere

AS YET THERE IS NO RELEASE DATE FOR THE UK FOR THE APPARITION SO I HOPE THERE WONT BE  A LOT OF DISAPPOINTED FANS SHOULD THERE BE NO PREMIERE OR RELEASE IN THE UK .
